Foreman / AI video analytics for factories in India
Try Foreman free for 7 daysAI video analytics for a factory in India, on the cameras you already have
Most Indian factories already have a DVR or NVR and cameras on the floor, the godown and the gate. AI software can watch those cameras for fire and smoke, people in the wrong place at the wrong hour and a covered camera, and send you a photo on WhatsApp. No new cameras are needed.
01
The short answer
You do not need to buy AI cameras. Install software on a Windows computer at the factory, connect it to the recorder you have, and it reads each camera's video. Detection runs on site. When something needs a person, an alert with a photo goes to the people you choose.
- What it is: software that turns the cameras and recorders you already own into alerts.
- Works with: Hikvision and Prama, Dahua, CP Plus, TVT, Uniview, Axis, Hanwha, and any camera, DVR or NVR with RTSP or ONVIF.
- Standard on every site: smoke and fire, people after hours in zones you mark, a covered camera, and a warning when a camera goes offline.
- Set up for your site with our team: helmet and vest checks, number plates at the gate, forklift near-miss and idle machines.
- Install: about 60 seconds on a Windows PC at the site.
- Price in India: ₹400 per camera per month plus GST, four cameras minimum. Free 7-day trial on up to 32 cameras, no card.

What it watches for in a factory
Some checks are on from day one. Others depend on your cameras and layout, so we set them up with you rather than switch them on for everyone.
- Smoke and fire. Early visual detection on every camera you connect. It sits beside your certified fire alarm and never replaces it. See fire and smoke detection.
- People after hours. Anyone in a zone you mark as restricted when the factory is closed, such as the godown, the gate, the electrical room or the yard.
- A covered camera. A lens that is covered, sprayed, blacked out or knocked out of focus, and a camera that stops sending video.
- Helmets and safety vests. Set up for the cameras that cover the areas where they are required. See helmet and vest checks.
- Number plates at the gate. Indian plates today, logged for dispatch and visitors. See number-plate reading.
- Forklift near-miss and idle machines. Set up for your layout. See forklift near-miss and idle machine monitoring.

What your cameras and network need
Most factory cameras are fine. Check four things before you start.
- RTSP or ONVIF. Look for it in the camera or recorder settings or the spec sheet. If you cannot find it, ask your installer.
- A usable picture. The area you care about should fill enough of the frame to recognise a person, and the lens should be clean.
- A Windows PC that stays on and shares the recorder's network.
- An internet connection. Detection runs on site from the recorder's low-bandwidth sub-stream, so it runs on normal broadband. Checking events and sending alerts need the internet.
04
Built for old recorders, dust, heat and weak internet
Factory conditions are harder than an office. Recorders can be years old. Lenses collect dust. Heat and vibration move cameras. The internet drops.
Our software is built in India, for these conditions. It reads the recorder you already have instead of asking you to replace it. A covered-camera check tells you when a lens has been covered, sprayed or knocked out of focus, and a camera that stops sending video is reported too, so a camera you rely on does not fail silently. We do not promise offline operation: if the connection is down you will not get alerts until it is back.
05
How alerts reach your team
An alert is a photo with the camera name and the time, sent on WhatsApp, Telegram or the Foreman app while the event is still happening. A second, larger model double-checks every event before it reaches you, so the supervisor on night duty is less likely to be woken for a shadow.
You choose who is told. It can be the owner, a plant manager, a security supervisor or all three. A daily plain-language summary and a weekly report show what happened across the site.
06
Godowns, cold storage and pharma stores
Large godowns are where fire and after-hours alerts earn their keep, because fewer people are present and smoke can take time to reach a ceiling detector. Read about warehouse and logistics sites.
In cold rooms and pharma stores the camera matters. Frost, condensation or a fogged lens cannot be read by any software. Check that the cameras in those rooms give a clear picture before you rely on alerts. Read about cold storage and 3PL.
07
How to choose, in five questions
There is no single best AI software for every factory. Choose by what matters to you.
- Does it work with my recorder and cameras, and can I try it on my own cameras first?
- Which alerts are on from day one, and which need setup?
- Do alerts arrive where my team already looks, with a photo?
- Is every alert checked a second time before it reaches me?
- What do I pay per camera per month, in total, with GST?
08
A trial that tells you something
Pick four to eight cameras, not all of them: the gate, the godown, the electrical room, one production area and the yard. Mark the zones, set the closed hours and choose who is told. Walk each area after hours and check the alert arrives. Look at every alert on day three and move zones that make noise. Decide on day seven.
09
What it costs and what stays private
In India it is ₹400 per camera per month plus GST, with a minimum of four cameras, which is ₹1,600 a month plus GST. For 16 cameras that is ₹6,400 a month plus GST. Annual billing gives two months free. The 7-day trial on up to 32 cameras is free and needs no card. When it ends without a plan, monitoring stops until you choose one.
Your recordings stay on site. Event photos and short clips are encrypted and deleted after 30 days. We never train on your footage unless you ask us to, in writing.
Questions
Questions, answered.
What is the best AI CCTV software for factories in India?
There is no single best. Choose software that works with your existing recorder, that alerts you on an app you use with a photo, that checks each alert before it reaches you, and that you can try on your own cameras first. Ours does those four things and costs ₹400 per camera per month plus GST.
Can I add AI to my factory's existing CCTV without new cameras?
Yes. Our software installs on a Windows computer at your site in 60 seconds and reads the video from the DVR or NVR you already have. It works with Hikvision and Prama, Dahua, CP Plus, TVT, Uniview, Axis, Hanwha, and any recorder or camera with RTSP or ONVIF.
What does AI CCTV detect in a factory?
On every site: smoke and fire, people after hours in zones you mark, a covered camera, and a camera that goes offline. Set up with our team for your site: helmet and vest checks, number plates at the gate, forklift near-miss and idle machines.
Can it work for a cold storage or pharma warehouse?
Yes, as long as the cameras give a clear picture. Frost, condensation or a fogged lens cannot be read by any software. Test the cameras in those rooms during the free trial.
Does it need new hardware?
No. It is software only. You need a Windows PC at the site that stays on and shares the recorder's network.
Will it work with my internet connection?
Detection runs on site from the recorder's low-bandwidth sub-stream, so it runs on normal broadband. Checking events and sending alerts need the internet. If the connection drops you will not get alerts until it is back.
How do I get the alerts?
As a photo with the camera and the time on WhatsApp, Telegram or the Foreman app. You choose who is told.
Where does my video go?
Recordings stay on your site. Short event clips and photos are sent to our cloud service and the AI providers we use to check events. They are encrypted, deleted after 30 days and can be processed outside India. We never train on your footage unless you ask us to, in writing.
What does it cost for a factory with a few cameras?
₹400 per camera per month plus GST, four cameras minimum. For 8 cameras that is ₹3,200 a month plus GST. The first 7 days are free on up to 32 cameras, with no card.
