Terms of Service

Last updated: 15 June 2026

These terms govern your use of Foreman. Foreman is a tool for businesses; by using it you agree to these terms on behalf of your organisation.

1. The service

Foreman connects to the CCTV cameras you already own and uses computer vision to detect events — such as after-hours intrusion, fire and smoke, and missing safety helmets — and sends you alerts with photo proof. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

2. Your footage stays yours

You retain all rights to your camera footage and everything derived from it. You grant us a limited licence to process that footage solely to provide the service to you. We do not sell your footage, and we do not use your footage to train our AI models. We may use anonymous, aggregated usage statistics to improve the product.

3. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Having the lawful right to operate your cameras and to let us process their footage, and for posting the notices/signage and obtaining any employee or visitor consent the law requires (see our Acceptable Use Policy).
  • Where your cameras point and the legality of your monitoring.
  • Keeping your account credentials secure and your details accurate.

4. Foreman is an assistive tool — not a safety system

Foreman is an AI assistant and it is not perfect. It will sometimes miss real events and sometimes raise false alarms. The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including any warranty of detection accuracy, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

FOREMAN IS NOT A LIFE-SAFETY, FIRE-DETECTION, EMERGENCY-RESPONSE, OR SECURITY-GUARANTEE SYSTEM, AND IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR ONE. It is not certified or UL-listed. You must keep your own fire alarms, security guards, certified safety systems, and insurance in place and operating, and must not rely on Foreman alone. We are not your insurer.

5. Fees and billing

Paid plans are billed as described at sign-up or in your order. If a payment fails, we will give you reasonable notice before suspending the service — we will not silently switch off active monitoring. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

6. Intellectual property

We own the Foreman software, models, and brand. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during your subscription. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or resell it.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including lost profits, business interruption, or loss arising from an event that Foreman missed or mis-flagged. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is capped at the fees you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your use of the service in breach of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy — including unlawful surveillance, missing consent or notices, or unlawful camera placement. We will defend you against third-party claims that the Foreman software itself infringes their intellectual property.

9. Term and termination

Either party may terminate on notice as described in your plan. On termination, your right to use the service ends and we delete your event media in line with our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes, governing law, contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be notified. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at our principal place of business in India have exclusive jurisdiction. Questions: legal@foremanintelligence.com.
