Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 June 2026
This policy explains how Foreman handles data. There are two layers: data we control (our website and your account), and your camera footage — which belongs to you, the factory, as its controller.
1. Two layers of data
Our data: when you visit our website or hold a Foreman account, we control basic data about you — covered by this policy.
Your camera data: your factory’s cameras film your premises, employees, and visitors. You are the controller of that footage — it is your responsibility to give the notices/consent the law requires to the people on your cameras (see our Acceptable Use Policy). Foreman acts as your processor and only handles that footage on your instructions.
2. What we collect
- Website & leads: name, phone, city, business details you submit, and basic analytics.
- Account & billing: your contact details, camera configuration, and payment information (processed by our payment provider).
- Camera event data (on your behalf): short event clips, photos, and detection metadata from your cameras — only when an event is detected.
3. How camera footage is handled
- Your DVR keeps recording exactly as today — Foreman is never your recorder. Only short event clips and photos leave your premises.
- Event media is encrypted, stored in India, and auto-deleted after 30 days.
- By default Foreman does not perform facial recognition or identify individuals. Any identification feature is off by default and only available where lawful and explicitly enabled by you.
- We do not use your footage to train our AI models.
4. Why we process data
To provide and improve the service, send you alerts, manage your account and billing, provide support, keep the service secure, and meet legal obligations. We process camera data only to detect events and notify you.
5. Sub-processors and security
We use a small number of trusted sub-processors (for cloud hosting, storage, model inference, and messaging) to run the service; a current list is available on request. We protect data with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and audit logging.
6. Your rights
Subject to applicable law (including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you. For footage of people on your cameras, requests are handled through you as the controller. To exercise a right or raise a grievance, contact our grievance officer at privacy@foremanintelligence.com.
7. Retention, cookies, children, changes
We keep account data for as long as your account is active and as the law requires; event media auto-deletes after 30 days. Our website uses essential cookies and basic analytics. Foreman is not intended for use involving children’s data, and you must not point cameras to track minors. We may update this policy; material changes will be notified.
