An automatic number-plate register for every vehicle at your gate

Foreman reads the number plates of vehicles arriving and leaving on your existing gate camera, and keeps a timestamped, searchable log of who came and went and when. No guard scribbling in a register, no missing entries, no guessing later.

Stop relying on a handwritten gate register

A paper register is only as good as the guard holding the pen. Entries get skipped on a busy shift, plates get copied down wrong, pages go missing, and when you need to know which truck was on-site at 2pm last Tuesday, the answer is a shrug.

Foreman turns your gate camera into an automatic record-keeper. Every vehicle that comes in or out is logged by its number plate with the exact time, so the register fills itself. When a dispute, a delivery question or a security review comes up, you search instead of flipping through a book.

  • Every entry and exit logged automatically, with a timestamp
  • Searchable by plate, date and time, not buried in a notebook
  • No dependence on whether the guard remembered to write it down
  • One clear record you can pull up in seconds

How the plate register works

Foreman is software that runs on your existing CCTV. It installs on a Windows PC in about 60 seconds and connects to your current gate camera over RTSP or ONVIF. There is no new hardware to buy and nothing to mount on the gate.

As vehicles pass your gate, Foreman reads the number plate from the camera image and writes it to a timestamped register. Detection runs on-site, and each reading gets a second, more thorough check before it is recorded, so the log stays clean. Pair the register with dispatch logging to tie an arriving or departing plate to the load it carried.

This is camera-based plate reading. Foreman sees and reads the plate the same way a person at the gate would, only it never gets tired and never forgets to write it down. There are no badges, RFID tags or access-control devices involved.

  • Runs on your existing Hikvision, CP Plus, Dahua or any RTSP/ONVIF camera
  • 60-second Windows install, no new hardware at the gate
  • Reads the plate visually from the camera and logs it with the time
  • Pair with dispatch logging to match vehicles to deliveries

Built on our own AI models, trained in-house

Foreman runs its own AI models, built in-house for real factory and warehouse conditions rather than generic off-the-shelf detection. We hold them to the published state of the art; our benchmark and paper are coming.

That means plate reading built for your gate: varied lighting, angled cameras, mud and wear on the plate, and the everyday chaos of an Indian factory entrance.

The owner outcome

Less arguing over which vehicle was where and when. Faster answers when a customer asks about a dispatch or a load goes missing. A guard who can watch the gate instead of writing in a book, and a record that holds up when you need to look back. One prevented dispute or lost load pays for the system for years.

  • A complete, honest log of vehicle movement at your gate
  • Evidence on hand for disputes, audits and security reviews
  • Less manual work and fewer gaps in the register
  • Plain-language custom rules, plus zone and time logic when you need it

Frequently asked

Which plates and conditions does it read best?

It reads best when the plate is reasonably clean, well lit and squarely in the camera's view as the vehicle slows at the gate, which is exactly what most gate cameras see. Heavy mud, glare, sharp angles, fast-moving vehicles or a damaged plate make any plate harder to read. During your pilot we check your specific gate camera, angle and lighting so you know what to expect before you commit.

Does it read Indian number plates?

Yes. Foreman is India-first, and our own AI models are trained in-house on real factory and warehouse gates, so they are built for Indian plates and Indian gate conditions rather than generic ones.

Does this replace the gate register and the guard?

It replaces the manual writing, not the guard. Foreman keeps the timestamped plate log automatically so the register fills itself and stays searchable, but your guard still runs the gate, checks documents and makes the judgment calls. Treat the plate register as a more reliable record-keeper that frees up your guard, not a stand-in for one.

Do I need new cameras or hardware at the gate?

No. Foreman is software that runs on your existing CCTV. It installs on a Windows PC in about 60 seconds and connects to your current gate camera. There is nothing new to mount or wire at the gate.

How do I see the log and get alerted?

The register is timestamped and searchable. Foreman also sends alerts over Telegram with photo proof and a voice call when a rule you set is triggered, plus a daily report so you can review the day's gate activity at a glance.
