Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 15 June 2026
Foreman runs on your cameras, so you are responsible for using it lawfully. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.
1. You must have a lawful basis and give notice
Before you enable Foreman on a camera, you must have the lawful right to monitor that area and to let us process its footage, and you must have provided the required notices/signage and obtained any employee or visitor consent the law requires (including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, and equivalent laws where you operate). You are responsible for the legality of your deployment.
2. Prohibited uses
You must not use Foreman to:
- conduct unlawful surveillance, stalking, or harassment;
- profile, target, or discriminate against people on the basis of a protected characteristic (such as race, religion, gender, or caste);
- monitor private areas — including washrooms, changing rooms, medical rooms, or designated rest areas;
- conduct covert monitoring that the law does not permit;
- track or behaviourally monitor children/minors;
- perform facial recognition, individual identification, or emotion recognition unless that feature is explicitly enabled, lawful in your jurisdiction, and supported by the consents the law requires.
3. You own the legality of your deployment
You — not Foreman — decide where your cameras point and what you do with our alerts. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with all applicable surveillance, privacy, biometric, and employment laws.
4. Enforcement
If we reasonably believe you are using Foreman in breach of this policy, we may suspend or terminate the service, with no liability for doing so. Questions: legal@foremanintelligence.com.
