Foreman Crew terms of use

Who can join

You must be 18 or older. We check this once. One account per person.

What you do

• Record your normal work with a phone on your head, or with our kit once you have earned it.
• Record only real work that you are doing anyway, for up to 4 hours a day, with breaks.
• Record only at your own workplace, at one of our partner sites, or at a workplace whose owner has agreed in the app.
• Keep other people, customers, screens and papers with names or prices out of view. If a child appears, stop.
• Never record in washrooms, changing rooms, meal or tea breaks, prayer areas, first-aid rooms, or near children.
• Follow your workplace's safety rules at all times. Stop recording whenever it gets in the way of working safely.

Your pay

Each task shows its type, fixed contributor rate, quality requirements and payment conditions before you start. Rates are at least ₹100 per eligible hour, calculated proportionately for eligible time. Client Tasks pay only for time the buyer accepts against those requirements. Recording may begin on a buyer commitment before the buyer pays. Marketplace Tasks pay once for each previously unpaid portion that sells; a sale is not guaranteed. Passing our quality checks or submitting footage alone does not create payable earnings.

For either task type, pay becomes payable only after we receive the corresponding buyer funds for the eligible footage. We pay each payable amount into your own verified payout account within 7 calendar days. Buyer acceptance without buyer payment does not start that clock. If the buyer does not pay, the corresponding contributor amount does not become payable.

If our app or servers lose a recording

If a Foreman fault loses or corrupts a recording, we pay verified lost working time at the task rate within 7 calendar days after confirming the loss, even without buyer payment. Idle time, deliberate misuse and recordings you delete are excluded. If recovered footage later sells, compensation counts towards the one-time fee for that same time, and we pay any remaining balance under the normal payment conditions. We do not reclaim compensation because footage sells for less or never sells, or offset it against other recordings.

Instalments and buyer refunds

If a buyer pays in instalments, we release contributor pay in the same proportion as the buyer payment received for that footage. The remaining contributor amount becomes payable as the remaining corresponding buyer funds arrive. Each released amount is paid within 7 calendar days. The full fixed contributor amount is paid only once for that portion of footage.

If we refund a buyer after paying you, we bear that cost and do not reclaim your payment unless contributor fraud is proven. A buyer refund alone is not evidence of fraud.

How we may use your video

Your agreement gives us permission to check, blur, edit, label and prepare your footage and to show controlled previews to prospective buyers for evaluation before a sale. Neither we nor a prospective buyer may use unsold or unpaid footage for training. A preview does not grant training rights.

Once corresponding buyer funds arrive, the agreement grants exclusive worldwide commercial rights for the copyright term in identified eligible portions that have not already been withdrawn. Client Task portions must also be buyer-accepted; Marketplace portions must be covered by a sale. The agreement permits us to use and license those funded portions for AI and robot training, subject to withdrawal and applicable privacy rights. Where payment is partial, training use is limited to the footage covered by that payment. The agreement identifies the recording and sets out the scope, territory and duration of those rights. The fixed contributor amount is paid once for each eligible portion, including through instalments where applicable; resales of the same portion do not create another contributor payment. Your right to stop still applies.

Kits

Camera kits are a loan, with no deposit. They stay ours. Look after your kit, return it when we ask or when you stop, and tell us at once if it is lost or damaged.

Fair use

Do not send staged, copied or someone else's recordings, record people who have not agreed, or try to get around our checks. If you do, we do not pay for those recordings and we may close your account.

Stopping

You can stop at any time, with no penalty. Stopping does not cancel amounts already payable or later instalments due under an existing paid sale or buyer-accepted Client Task. The task payment conditions still apply. To stop recording, tap Stop and remove my video in the app. To delete your account, see foremanintelligence.com/crew/delete. We may close an account that breaks these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms. We tell you in the app before a change takes effect. If the agreement itself changes, we ask you to read and sign it again.

Law and disputes

These terms follow the laws of India. Disputes go to the courts in Surat, Gujarat.
