Contributor agreement
Last updated: 30 October 2026
Before your first recording, here is what you are agreeing to with Superneural Technologies Private Limited (Foreman). You can browse Crew without signing this agreement.
This agreement applies when you accept it in Crew. Publishing this page does not replace an agreement you have already signed.
Taking part
This agreement is between you, identified by your legal name and Crew account, and Superneural Technologies Private Limited, trading as Foreman. It covers recordings you choose to make for Crew under the task offers you accept after signing. It does not cover other videos you make outside Crew.
You must be 18 or older. Taking part is voluntary. You choose whether and when to record, can decline tasks and can stop at any time. Taking part must not affect your job, shifts or treatment at work. Nobody may pressure you to agree or ask for part of your pay.
Record real work you already do. Follow workplace safety rules, keep necessary safety equipment on, take breaks and record no more than 4 hours a day. Stop whenever recording interferes with working safely. We do not direct how you do your job or how fast you work.
You pay nothing to join. Any Foreman camera kit is a loan with no deposit. Look after it, report loss or damage and return it when requested or when you stop. Coordinators do not collect your pay or take a share of it.
What you record and who can see it
Use the head or chest mount allowed by your task, or the approved camera kit. Near rotating machinery, such as a lathe, drill, grinder or polishing wheel, do not wear wrist cameras. Safety instructions for the work always come first.
Crew records silent video and movement from the recording device's sensors. Depending on the task and supported device, we also collect or derive hand positions, camera movement in three dimensions, camera details and mount information. Each task identifies the data it needs. Crew does not record sound or use the microphone for recording.
Record only where the workplace owner has permitted it and anyone who needs to consent has agreed. Do not record confidential designs, processes, customer details, private screens or documents without the required permission. Your agreement cannot give us rights belonging to your employer, customers or other people.
Keep other people out of view. Pause if someone who has not agreed comes close. Stop if a child appears and report the recording for deletion. Never record in washrooms, changing rooms, first-aid rooms, during meals or prayer, or in other private areas.
Our authorised team and service providers can access recordings to protect them, check quality, prepare data and remove identifying details. Faces are blurred before buyers see footage. We also try to obscure private screens and papers. Hands, clothing, surroundings or movements may still identify someone; blurring is not a promise of anonymity.
Buyers receive a recording code, not your name, phone number, payout account or identity documents. Your owner or supervisor does not receive your Crew recordings or quality results. Buyer terms prohibit identifying people or using recordings to monitor, judge or punish workers. Crew does not use workplace CCTV for this programme.
Your task and how time is counted
Before you start, the task offer shows whether it is a Client Task or a Marketplace Task, its fixed contributor rate, the work to capture, quality requirements, how eligible time is measured, permitted equipment and the payment conditions. These terms form part of this agreement for that task. We keep the accepted offer linked to the recording. Later changes apply to future offers, not footage already recorded under an earlier offer.
Rates are at least ₹100 per eligible hour, calculated proportionately for the eligible time. This is a rate floor, not a promise that every recorded hour will be accepted or sold. Waiting, idle time, unusable footage and time outside the disclosed task requirements do not count. The task rate is shown before any legally required tax deduction.
Client Tasks have a buyer commitment. Only time the buyer accepts against the requirements shown before recording counts towards the footage fee. Recording may start before the buyer pays. Our internal quality approval alone is not buyer acceptance.
Marketplace Tasks offer footage to prospective buyers without guaranteeing a sale. Only a previously unpaid portion that sells counts towards the footage fee. A recording may never sell or generate payment. Our quality check or listing it for sale does not create payable earnings.
We show how much time counts and the reasons for excluding time. You can ask a person to look again through Checks or support. A person reviews your request within 2 days; a buyer's further review may be needed for a Client Task. Recording checks assess the footage, not your skill or performance at work.
When we pay
For Client Tasks, a footage fee becomes payable when the buyer accepts the relevant time and we receive the corresponding buyer funds. For Marketplace Tasks, it becomes payable when the relevant portion sells and we receive the corresponding buyer funds. Submission, our quality check, buyer commitment or an unpaid invoice alone does not make the fee payable. If the buyer never pays, the corresponding footage fee does not become payable.
We pay each payable amount within 7 calendar days after it becomes payable. If a buyer pays in instalments for the relevant footage, your payment is released in the same proportion. For example, if your total fee for that footage is ₹1,000 and we receive half of the corresponding buyer payment, ₹500 becomes payable; the rest becomes payable as the remaining funds arrive. Each instalment has its own 7-day payment deadline.
The fixed footage fee covers your participation and the commercial rights described in this agreement. It is paid once for each eligible portion, including through instalments. Reselling or licensing that same portion again does not create another contributor fee. This does not waive any right or payment that the law does not allow you to waive.
We pay into your own verified payout account and show the payment record. We make only deductions required by law and provide the relevant record. A failed transfer does not cancel what we owe. Our own staff can help if you cannot use a payout account; any payment they make must be recorded with a receipt. This agreement does not introduce a minimum balance or holding period that extends the 7-day deadline.
If we refund a buyer after paying you, Foreman bears that cost. We do not reclaim your payment just because the buyer received a refund. Proven contributor fraud is handled separately; a buyer refund alone is not evidence of fraud.
If a Foreman app or server fault loses or corrupts a recording, we pay for working time that we can verify was lost because of that fault, at the task's disclosed rate. Payment is due within 7 calendar days after we confirm the loss, even if no buyer pays. Idle time, deliberate misuse and recordings you choose to delete are not covered. This is a separate exception to the normal buyer-funded payment conditions. Compensation alone does not grant training rights to unfunded footage.
If a recording covered by loss compensation is later recovered and sold, the compensation counts towards the one-time footage fee for that same verified time. We pay any remaining balance under the normal buyer-funded payment conditions. For example, ₹100 compensation towards a ₹150 footage fee leaves ₹50 to pay when it becomes payable. Compensation is not reclaimed because the footage never sells or its fee is lower. It is not used to reduce payment for other recordings.
Any separately offered test, referral or other bonus follows the conditions disclosed with that offer. This agreement does not remove bonus payments already earned or change conditions you previously accepted.
Permission to prepare footage and commercial rights
The permissions in this section cover only rights you can grant in the Crew recordings and associated data identified by the task, recording ID and relevant time ranges. They do not transfer ownership of your general skills, your identity or another person's intellectual property. Any use of personal data remains subject to the privacy notice, applicable law and the stopping provisions below.
Before the corresponding buyer funds arrive, you give Foreman a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, check, blur, edit, label and prepare footage, and to show controlled previews to identified prospective buyers for evaluation. Previews use restricted access and evaluation-only terms. Neither Foreman nor a prospective buyer may train on unsold or unfunded footage under this permission. A preview does not give a buyer training rights. This permission ends for removed footage when you withdraw, except for processing or retention that the law requires or permits.
When a buyer funds an identified portion that has not already been withdrawn, you grant Foreman an exclusive commercial licence in that funded portion, to the extent you have the relevant rights. For Client Tasks, the portion must also have been accepted by the buyer; for Marketplace Tasks, it must be covered by a sale. A general advance or deposit does not activate rights over unrelated or ineligible footage. Foreman may reproduce, store, edit, blur, annotate, combine and prepare it; create datasets and other derivative materials from it; use it to train, test, evaluate and improve AI and robotic systems; and license those uses to buyers in India and other countries. Buyers may authorise their group companies and service providers only under the same purpose and privacy restrictions.
The funded licence covers all countries and lasts for the full applicable copyright term, subject to the withdrawal provisions and rights that the law does not allow either party to waive. It does not lapse solely because a licensed right is not exercised within one year, to the extent the law permits that agreement. The fixed footage fee and payment obligations above are the consideration for this licence. Foreman's duty to pay you continues even though the licence starts when buyer funds arrive.
Exclusive means that you cannot sell or license the same funded portion commercially through another person while the licence remains in effect. This does not prevent you from doing your work, recording different footage or keeping a private copy where workplace permissions allow. You must tell us if you have already granted conflicting rights; we cannot promise a buyer exclusive rights that you cannot grant.
For partial buyer payments, training rights and exclusivity apply only to the identified portions covered by those funds. The remaining portions stay subject only to the limited preparation permission. A part-payment does not open the entire recording for training. The task, time ranges, applicable rate, funding allocation and amount owed to you are recorded together.
Unsold, unfunded footage is not permanently reserved to Foreman. You can request its withdrawal before it becomes funded. We stop new licensing and handle deletion as explained below. This agreement does not turn every recording into Foreman's property merely because you record it.
We do not know everything buyers will build. These datasets may help machines perform work like yours. If you do not want your work used for that purpose, do not agree to record. Uses beyond the purposes described here require separate permission where required by law.
Stopping, withdrawal and deletion
You can stop recording at any time, without a penalty. You can delete a recording before upload. To withdraw permission and request removal of uploaded footage, open Me > Your agreement > Stop and remove my video, tell our own staff, or WhatsApp or call +91 83209 90873. You can also request account deletion through Me or support.
On withdrawal we stop further recording and new sales or licences of your footage. We stop our own uses and processing where required by your withdrawal and applicable law. Within 30 days, we delete unsold footage and original recordings we hold, except records that must legally be retained. Records retained solely for a legal requirement are restricted and are not used for new commercial purposes.
For footage already supplied to buyers, within 7 days we notify the relevant buyers of your withdrawal and ask them to stop using it and delete it. We carry out the further steps required by applicable law and our buyer agreements. We cannot promise to retrieve every buyer copy or reverse AI training already completed. Copyright permissions do not remove any applicable privacy or deletion rights.
Stopping, withdrawing or deleting your account does not cancel amounts already payable, confirmed loss compensation or later instalments due under an existing paid sale or buyer-accepted Client Task. The original task's payment conditions still apply. You do not have to keep recording to receive those amounts.
We keep the payment, agreement, fraud-prevention, delivery and support records described in the Crew privacy notice for their stated purposes and periods, subject to applicable law. You can ask for access, correction, deletion or a person to exercise your rights if you cannot. The privacy notice explains what we collect, who receives it and how to make these requests.
Separate optional uses
Permission for Foreman's own presentations and permission for public marketing are separate choices. Both start off. You can record and receive the same task payment without agreeing to either.
If you allow presentations, we may use short blurred clips of your work in our own presentations. This choice is separate from the controlled buyer evaluation previews needed to offer footage for sale.
If you allow public marketing, we may use short blurred clips with no sound or name on our website, app store pages and social media. Anyone may see those clips, and blurring does not guarantee anonymity.
You can turn either choice off in Me or through support. We stop new uses and remove the relevant material from channels we control, subject to legal obligations. We cannot promise to retrieve copies other people have already made. Optional permissions do not expand the purposes of the commercial dataset licence.
Your agreement, help and disputes
Read this agreement in a language you understand. Crew provides English, Hindi and Gujarati versions. You may ask a person to explain it before you sign. You sign using your legal name through your account. We record the version, language, text, choices and time of signing and make a copy available in Me. You can request a copy through support.
The task offer and this agreement together govern the relevant recording. The task offer identifies the task-specific work, rate and acceptance criteria; it cannot silently remove the protections in this agreement. The website terms summarise the programme. The privacy notice governs the processing of personal data alongside applicable law.
We tell you about material changes and ask you to accept a new agreement before recording under those changes. A new agreement does not rewrite old task offers, signatures, earned payments or obligations for footage already recorded.
If something looks wrong, contact us or ask for a person to review it in the app. We answer within 2 days and settle your complaint within 30 days. Support is available in English, Hindi and Gujarati, including WhatsApp voice messages. We do not pass your complaint or identity to your owner or supervisor.
This agreement follows Indian law. Courts in Surat, Gujarat have jurisdiction where the law permits. Nothing here prevents you from using a statutory complaint route or another forum that applicable law makes available, or takes away a non-waivable right.
Our Grievance Officer is Dharit Gabani. WhatsApp or call +91 83209 90873. Crew privacy and support are at foremanintelligence.com/crew/privacy and foremanintelligence.com/crew/support. Do not send Aadhaar, PAN or bank numbers in an ordinary support message.
