Foreman Crew privacy

We are Superneural Technologies Private Limited, the company behind Foreman Crew. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, who receives it and how you can stop.

We ask adults in India to record their own hands doing real work. Each task explains its payment conditions and the rights in the recordings before you start. We sell or license the video and its movement data to companies that build AI and robots, in India and other countries.

You choose whether to take part. You read or listen to our agreement in English, Hindi or Gujarati and sign it before recording. You can stop at any time. Taking part has nothing to do with your job, shift or pay rise.

What we collect

  • Your name, date of birth, phone number, state, town and PIN code.
  • Your kinds of work, experience and the workplaces you add. If you record at someone else's workplace, we collect the owner's name, phone number, agreement and typed signature to check permission.
  • Your payout details, the account name returned for them, your recorded and accepted time, earnings, payments, bank references and tax deductions. We ask for PAN only when tax rules need it.
  • Your delivery address if we send you a mount or kit, and records of a kit loan and return.
  • Your chosen language, agreement answers, choices and typed signature. We keep the agreement version, signing times, device and app details, and your daily agreement to record.
  • Silent video of your work. With it, we collect how the mounted phone moves and turns, and points showing the position and movement of your hands. For some tasks on supported phones, we also collect the camera's path in 3D. We record camera details and whether you use a head or chest mount.
  • Your phone model, app details, installation and device checks, recording capability, and technical information needed to record and send video. If you allow notifications, we keep the token that lets us send them to your phone.
  • Your messages, requests for another check, complaints and our replies. If you contact us on WhatsApp, we see the number you use and receive the text or voice note you choose to send.

If you leave your number because your language is not listed, we use it to contact you when that language is available. If someone invites you, we keep the referral information needed to check and pay the bonus. The person who invites you sees your first name and referral progress.

How we check age

You must be 18 or older. The app asks for your date of birth and checks your age before you record. You can scan the secure QR code on your Aadhaar card, letter or Aadhaar app. Our server checks the code and compares the name without keeping the QR contents.

For that check, we keep only the result that you are 18 or older, how and when we checked, and whether the name matches. We never store your Aadhaar number, photo or address from the QR code. Your date of birth and any address you enter separately are part of your account details.

Our own staff can help site workers with an ID check. Coordinators do not handle age checks or sign agreements for you.

Camera, movement and sound

We use the camera to record your work after you press Start. We also use it to scan QR codes when you choose. Work recording pauses if you leave the app or lock the phone. Saved recordings can keep uploading in the background.

We never use the microphone or record sound in the app. Spoken instructions and the Listen button play audio to you. They do not record your voice.

Movement data helps match motion to the picture, check that hands are in view and prepare recordings for AI and robot training. If a minute has no usable view of hands, the app can skip sending that video while still sending the movement and hand data recorded with it.

We do not ask for your phone's location or contacts permissions. The town, state, workplace and delivery address you enter are still information about where you are. A 3D camera path describes movement around the work area, not a GPS location.

Why we use your information

We use it to set up your account, check your age and workplace permission, show tasks that match your work, record your agreement, check recordings, calculate and send pay, handle tax records, send account updates, arrange mounts and kits, answer questions and prevent fraud.

Before a sale, we check and prepare recordings and their movement data, and may show controlled previews to prospective buyers for evaluation. Those previews cannot be used for training. Training use by us or a buyer starts only for footage covered by a sale and the corresponding buyer payment. Buyers may keep and use licensed footage for many years. We do not know everything these companies build. We cannot promise that machines never do work like yours.

Your agreement explains the permission to prepare and preview footage before a sale, and the rights to use and license sold footage after the corresponding buyer payment. The fixed contributor payment for each eligible portion is paid once, including through instalments where applicable. Reselling the same portion does not create another contributor payment. Your right to stop still applies.

Use of a short blurred clip in our own presentations is a separate choice. You can change it in Me > Your agreement. You can take part without agreeing to that use.

Who sees your information

Our team sees recordings to check quality and blur faces. We blur every face before sharing video with buyers. We also try to blur screens and papers that appear, but you must keep private screens and papers out of view.

Buyers receive video and movement data under a code number, not your name. We do not give buyers your phone number or payout details. Blurring does not make a recording anonymous. Someone who knows you may still recognise your hands or how you work.

Buyers agree in writing not to identify people in the footage or use it to judge or watch workers. The agreement allows buyers, their group companies and their service providers to use licensed recordings for AI and robot systems.

Your owner or supervisor never receives your video or results. Coordinators see site counts and their own commission information, not your recordings, individual results or pay. Our checks assess recording quality. Client Tasks also require buyer acceptance, and Marketplace Tasks require a sale. Both require the corresponding buyer payment before contributor pay becomes payable. These checks do not judge your work or tell you how fast to work. We never use workplace CCTV.

Sign-in, messaging and payment services handle the information needed for those services. We check your payout details against their account name. A courier uses delivery details to send your mount or kit. Auditors may see the record that you agree. We keep records that the law requires.

What stays on your phone

Recordings are kept in the app's private storage, not your phone's gallery. You can delete a recording before you send it. Uploads use Wi-Fi unless you choose mobile data. Video can use a large amount of data.

Signing out removes local account files and recordings that are not sent. The app warns you first. Signing out does not delete recordings already sent or close your account.

Signed agreementWhile we hold or sell your video, then 8 more years.

Stop or delete your account

To stop recording and ask us to remove your video, open Me > Your agreement > Stop and remove my video. You can also tell our own staff, or WhatsApp or call +91 83209 90873.

We stop recording you at once. Stopping does not cancel payment already payable or later instalments due under an existing paid sale or buyer-accepted Client Task. The task payment conditions still apply. Your account stays open so you can see your pay unless you also ask us to delete it.

Within 30 days, we delete unsold video and the original recordings we hold, except records that the law requires us to keep. We keep legally required records locked and unused until we can delete them.

Within 7 days, we notify buyers of your withdrawal and ask them to stop using and delete the footage. We take the further steps required by law and our buyer agreements. We cannot guarantee retrieval of every copy or reverse AI training already completed.

To delete your account, open Me > Delete account and follow the instructions. We settle earned pay and check pending recordings for any pay due. Recordings not yet sent are deleted from your phone. We keep the pay, agreement and other records described above where retention still applies.

You can ask for account deletion without the app. Message us on WhatsApp or call +91 83209 90873 and say, "Please delete my Foreman Crew account." Give your Crew ID if you know it. Do not send Aadhaar, PAN or bank numbers in a message.

Questions, corrections and complaints

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or name someone to use these rights if you cannot.

WhatsApp or call +91 83209 90873 in English, Hindi or Gujarati. You can send text or a voice note on WhatsApp. A person answers within 2 days and we settle complaints within 30 days.

You do not have to give your name to make a complaint. We see the number you use and keep it private. We do not pass your name to your owner or supervisor.

Our Grievance Officer is Dharit Gabani.

You can also complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
