How Foreman connects to a CP Plus recorder

CP Plus recorders use the Dahua RTSP scheme. Foreman reads each camera's sub-stream from the DVR/NVR on the LAN, runs detection on-site, and verifies every alert in the cloud before it reaches the owner.

Foreman runs on a normal Windows PC on the same network as the recorder. It reads the camera's low-bandwidth sub-stream over RTSP, so it never slows down recording and needs no port-forwarding or router changes — outbound internet only.

Yes — any CP Plus recorder that exposes RTSP or ONVIF. Because CP Plus is Dahua-based, the standard cam/realmonitor RTSP path works across the range.

Do I need to change the camera channels (subtype)?

No. Foreman auto-detects channels and uses the sub-stream (subtype=1) so recording quality and DVR performance are untouched.
