How Foreman connects to a Dahua recorder
Foreman reads each camera's RTSP sub-stream from the Dahua DVR/NVR on the LAN, runs detection on-site, and verifies every alert in the cloud before it reaches the owner.
Foreman runs on a normal Windows PC on the same network as the recorder. It reads the camera's low-bandwidth sub-stream over RTSP, so it never slows down recording and needs no port-forwarding or router changes — outbound internet only.

Any Dahua DVR, NVR or IP camera that exposes RTSP or ONVIF — the standard cam/realmonitor path covers the range, including Dahua-OEM brands.
Does it need SmartPSS or the DMSS cloud?
No. Foreman connects locally over RTSP, so it works independently of SmartPSS or any cloud account.
Will it affect Dahua recording or playback?
No. Foreman uses the sub-stream only; the main recording stream and storage are untouched.
What's my commission?
