Foreman / camera tampering
Try ForemanKnow when a camera stops seeing
Covering a camera is often the first step in a theft. We watch every camera you connect for a view that is covered, sprayed, blacked out or knocked out of focus, and tell you right away with a photo. Genuine camera faults are caught too.
01
A covered camera is a warning
Someone planning a theft deals with the camera first: a bag over the lens, a quick spray, a knock that throws it out of focus. By the time you notice the gap in the recording, the loss has happened.
We treat a camera losing its view as an event worth your attention, right away, so you can act while it still matters.
- Cameras covered, sprayed, blacked out or knocked out of focus
- You hear about it when the view changes, not days later
- Genuine faults too, so a dead camera never goes unnoticed
02
How it works
Our software installs on a computer at your site in 60 seconds and works with the cameras and recorders you already have: Hikvision and Prama, Dahua, CP Plus, or any standard RTSP or ONVIF camera, DVR or NVR.
We watch each camera for a view that goes dark or loses its focus and stays that way, the mark of a lens that has been covered, sprayed, blacked out or knocked. A second, larger model double-checks every event before it reaches you.
You get a Telegram message with a photo of what the camera now sees, and a voice call for urgent events. Your daily summary covers the quieter signals.
- Software only, on your existing cameras
- Every event double-checked before it reaches you
- Telegram alert with photo evidence, a voice call and a daily summary
03
Why it belongs on every camera
A camera you think is recording but is not is worse than no camera, because you are relying on it. Tamper detection tells you the moment a camera can no longer see.
- Covers every camera you connect
- Rules in plain words, with zone and time logic when you want it
04
A check on every camera
Every connected camera is checked for a view gone dark or blurred, on every site, from day one. Each alert comes with the photo, so you see what happened.
Questions
Questions, answered.
How is this different from my DVR's video loss alert?
Video loss only triggers when a camera fully disconnects. It says nothing while the camera is still recording a covered or blacked-out view. We look at what the camera actually sees, so we notice a lens that has been covered, sprayed, blacked out or knocked out of focus, even though the feed is still live.
Will it catch a lens that is covered slowly?
Yes. We judge the view itself rather than waiting for the signal to drop, so once a lens is covered enough to black out or blur the view, it is flagged, even if it happened slowly.
Will turning the lights off at night set it off?
Normal lights-off and day-to-night changes are expected, and every event is double-checked before it reaches you.
Do I need new cameras or hardware?
No. Our software runs on the cameras you already own and installs on a computer at your site in 60 seconds, with no new wiring or devices.
