Foreman

Foreman / gate tailgating

Notice people and vehicles slipping in behind someone else

Tailgating is the oldest way past a gate: wait for someone authorised, then follow close behind. We set up tailgating detection for your gate cameras and layout, so a second person or vehicle following on one opening is flagged with a photo.

01

Why it matters

An unauthorised entry at the gate is where a lot of loss and liability begins. The person who walks in behind your loader can reach your stock and your people. The vehicle that rolls in behind a delivery appears in no log.

Most gates rely on one person's attention, and attention dips at shift change, at busy hours and during a phone call. Those are exactly the moments tailgating uses.

  • Fewer unauthorised people and vehicles on site
  • A photo record of what came through the gate
  • Less reliance on one guard staying sharp every second

02

How we set it up with you

Every gate is different: its width, its traffic, where the camera looks. Tell us how your gate works and when, and we configure tailgating detection for your cameras.

Once running, we flag a second person stepping through behind the first, or a vehicle following close behind another, on a single opening. A second, larger model double-checks each event before it reaches you. You get a Telegram message with a photo, the camera and the time, a voice call for urgent events, and a daily summary of gate activity.

  • A second person or vehicle following on one opening
  • More entries than expected for a single opening
  • Telegram photo alert, voice call and daily summary

03

Visual only, no badges or RFID

We do not connect to your access-control system, boom barrier or any badge or RFID reader. We read what the gate camera sees.

That means it works whether or not you run electronic access control. If you do have badges or barriers, we sit alongside them as a check on what actually happened at the gate.

04

On the cameras you have

Our software installs on a computer at your site in 60 seconds and connects to the cameras you already own, from Hikvision and Prama, Dahua and CP Plus to any standard RTSP or ONVIF camera. No new hardware, no cabling, no gate retrofit.

Questions

Questions, answered.

Do I need to integrate with my access-control or badge system?

No. We work from the camera only. We do not connect to badges, RFID, boom barriers or any access-control hardware.

Does it cover people and vehicles?

Yes. We can set it up for foot traffic, vehicle traffic or both, depending on how your gate is used and what the camera sees.

What about deliveries and busy hours?

We set the rules with you per gate and time window, so expected delivery traffic fits your real schedule. Every flag is also double-checked before it reaches you.

Will it slow down traffic at the gate?

No. We only watch and tell you. We do not control the gate or stop anyone.

Is it on as soon as I install?

After-hours intrusion and camera tampering run from the start. Tailgating detection is set up with our team once we know your gate, its traffic and its camera view.
